Man believed to be involved in north Fargo standoff arrested

FORMAN, N.D. (Valley News Live)- The man believed to be involved in a standoff that caused a north Fargo neighborhood near NDSU to be on edge has been arrested in Sargent County.

Officials with the county confirm with Valley News Live Brandon Grant was arrested Wednesday afternoon on a traffic warrant out of Cass County that was unrelated to the standoff.

Fargo police were called to 1131 College Street North around 10 Monday night on a report of a domestic situation. When police arrived, they were talking with both a man and a woman outside of the home and after some time, they say the man took off and they thought he went back in the home and locked himself inside.

Two young girls were home at the time. Police believed that the man was holding them hostage. The SWAT team was called in.

Police eventually used a "flash bang" to try and get the man to come out, however, both girls came out of the home and were reunited with their mother.

Grant was missing since the incident Monday night and authorities say he was arrested without incident at a home in Forman, North Dakota.
