FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) - The 2026 Red River Valley Fair is off to a strong start, drawing more than 10,000 visitors to the fairgrounds on July 4 alone.

Fair organizers say this year’s event features several new attractions, along with a fresh look at what the fairgrounds offer year-round.

One of the biggest additions this year is the Livestock Discovery Barn, where visitors can see newborn piglets and calves up close. The fair is also debuting a live Bear Show, an Exotic Petting Zoo, a Ninja Show, and a Mime performance. Both the Dairy Show and Poultry Show are returning with expanded footprints this year.

For the first time, the fair is spotlighting events and experiences that take place at the fairgrounds throughout the year.

A Holiday Lights display, housed inside one of the fair’s buildings, gives visitors a chance to take a photo with Santa Claus. A Straw Bale Maze offers a nod to the “Lost in the Valley” pumpkin patch experience. The fairgrounds are also home to a Renaissance Fair building, a dedicated space celebrating Renaissance fair culture and tradition.

The Red River Valley Fair runs through the week. For schedules, tickets, and more information, visit the fair’s official website.
