As the son of a football coach, athlete, coach, and now as the head of the Valley News Live Sports department, sports have always been a big part of Devin's Life.
He grew up in Salcha, Alaska, a small town outside of Fairbanks, playing football for and graduating from Ben Eielson High School. After graduating, Devin took his football career to the collegiate level, playing for the Mayville State Comets from 2011-2015. After Graduating college, he moved back to Alaska to begin his broadcasting career, first in radio, and then taking over the Sports Department for KTVF, winning an Alaska Broadcasters Association Award for Sports Reporting in 2019.
After taking an opportunity to join Valley News Live as a producer and return to North Dakota in 2019, Devin was able to return to sports reporting full time for Valley News Live. He took the role of Sports Director in July of 2022. An avid football and hockey fan, he's excited to continue to keep up the high standard at VNL sports while also finding the most compelling stories to tell to our viewing area's rabid Sports Fanbase.
