Girl dies after falling off bike into path of dump truck

ELLICOTT CITY, Md. (WBAL) — A girl is dead after falling off her bicycle into the path of an oncoming dump truck Tuesday afternoon, police said.

The accident happened in Ellicott City, a suburb of Baltimore. Police said the girl fell from her bicycle and tumbled into the roadway, where she was hit by the truck.

The driver remained at the scene, according to police. The investigation is ongoing.
