Police are waiting for autopsy results to determine the cause of death of a 33-year-old man found Monday in Mahnomen County.

Sheriff's officials say Corey Bush of Naytahwaush went into the woods to cut firewood with his father-in-law Sunday afternoon.

After their truck got stuck on a trail, Bush left to go get help and said he'd be back in a few hours, but never returned.

His father-in-law stayed in the truck until Monday morning, then walked out of the woods and got a ride home.

A search was conducted by seven law enforcement agencies, including the use of a state patrol airplane, drone, high-powered scope and FLIR imaging system.

Bush's body was located around 3 p.m. about one mile from his truck.

His body was taken to UND in Grand Forks for an autopsy. Police do not suspect foul play.
