A Delta plane had to make an emergency landing in Fargo this evening after the pilot smelled smoke in the cockpit... and the crew decided not to take any chances with the nearly 200 people on-board.
The Boeing 757 was traveling from the Twin Cities to Anchorage, Alaska when the crew made the call to divert the plane to Fargo.
The plane landed at about 5pm. A replacement plane isn't expected until around 11pm this evening.
The airport is expected to be a busy place this evening, with seven more flights landing at the airport between 9:00 and 10:00 tonight.
