Charges of criminal trespass and inciting a riot have been dropped against Democracy Now! reporter Amy Goodman, according to her attorney Tom Dickson.

Goodman originally faced charges of criminal trespass after capturing a confrontation between Dakota Access Pipeline protesters and security guards on video September 3. That charge was dismissed October 14.

Monday, a new charge was brought against Goodman for inciting a riot. Dickson says the judge refused to sign off on the charge because there was insufficient probable cause for the charge.

Lieutenant Tom Iverson with ND Highway Patrol, says that other charges related to the September 3 event have not been filed and are under further review with the Morton County State's Attorney's Office.
