Left: Lisa Braun, Right: Gregory Weiland

The man shot and killed during a shooting at Walmart yesterday, has been identified by police as 70-year-old Gregory Weiland.

Weiland's wife tells Valley News Live that "It's just one of those things that happen...he was a church-going guy and a wonderful man."

Weiland had worked at Walmart for the past 23 years after retiring from farming.

Police have also released the name of the woman who was shot and injured. Lisa Braun is 47 and also worked at Walmart.

Altru Hospital said Wednesday morning there is no additional information to release on Braun aside from her being in satisfactory condition.

Investigators say 21-year-old Marcell Willis opened fire at the Grand Forks Walmart early Tuesday morning killing Weiland and injuring Braun before taking his own life.

Willis, a Tennessee native, was an active duty airman at the Grand Forks Air Force Base.

Police say so far they have not found any connection between Willis and the victims or any motive for the shooting spree.
