It seems everywhere we look these days we see Halloween candy. Seasonal treats can be found at home, at work and even at the gym.
The Valley Today's Health and Fitness Expert says indulging in a few Halloween treats doesn't have to bust your diet. She says the right treats can even boost your workout.
Ashley Sornsin shared some protein packed Halloween treats with The Valley Today on Thursday morning. She made Halloween Protein Peanut Butter Cups and Halloween Protein Balls in her "Buff Bakery".
Sornsin says both recipes are great pre and post workout snacks, but also make great healthy and nutritious 'treats'. It's a bonus because both adults and kids love these.
She says they are great pre workout, having the ideal blend of carbs, protein and fats to get you energized before your workout. Pop 2-4 of these an hour before your workout to help fuel you through a tough workout.
Post workout too? Yes, again, the right amount of carbs and protein are crucial factors to replenish and refuel your body following an intense workout. When you choose to snack smart with protein treats like these, your body will thank you and your sweet tooth will be satisfied.
