It’s a trend working its way across the country; Fargo will soon have an Escape Room. It’s something the organizers say is used for a unique date, corporate event, or bachelor and bachelorette party.
An Escape Room is described as a live-action game where participants are locked in a room with clues to find and puzzles to solve. The game is meant to challenge your brain and use teamwork to get out of a locked room.
According to the Fargo Escape Room website, most escape rooms have a theme or back story and a typical time limit is 60 minutes. The room is monitored by Escape Room staff throughout the entire game.
The Fargo Escape Room website says the number of participants vary from two to eight players. If your group doesn’t buy all of the tickets for a particular room the tickets may be filled by someone else, which means you may be paired with players you don’t know.
The door is locked, but if someone in the group needs to leave for some reason, there is a “panic box” near the door that will end the game for everyone.
The Fargo Escape Room is located at 2220 East Main Avenue in West Fargo. They are open Thursday-Friday between 6:00 and 10:00 p.m. and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
According to the Fargo Escape Room Facebook page, they will open in early September, but you can book your room now. Fargo’s Escape Room recommends participants be at least 14 years old. Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Tickets to get into the Escape Room cost $28 per person and are purchased online. To book the Fargo Escape Room, click on the links attached to this story. That’s also where you can find tips for a successful escape.
