Not long after a disappointing game against the Seattle Seahawks Monday night, the Vikings have fired offensive coordinator John DeFilippo.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport first reported the news just before 11 a.m., saying DeFilippo was out.
Soon after, the Vikings confirmed the news, adding that Kevin Stefanski will be calling the shots in the interim.
The news follows the Vikings' poor performance Monday night, where they fell 21-7 to the Seahawks, barely showing up for the first three quarters of an offense-poor match-up.
DeFilippo joined the Vikings earlier this year after serving as the Eagles quarterbacks coach during their Super Bowl-winning 2017 season.
He spent two seasons with the Eagles following a stint as the offensive coordinator of the Cleveland Browns.
