GRAND FORKS, N.D. (Valley News Live) -- University of North Dakota football fans are seeing their team ranked in both FCS polls for the first time all season.

The Fighting Hawks (5-3) check in at No. 23 in the FCS Coaches Poll and No. 24 in the STATS FCS Poll.

UND is coming off a win over then No. 9 Montana State this past Saturday and enters it's second open week of the season.

Head Coach Bubba Schweigert speaking Monday hopes to use the open week to allow some of his players additional recovery time and to also use it as a time to self evaluate before taking on No. 3 Weber State.

"I think you use it to get your football team better for the next opponent. We have to use it as an advantage and we know they're a very good team, ranked, you know they've been in the top five," Schweigert said.

"There's some people that would say, 'Hey you want to play right away and keep momentum going,' but I just think overall if we can focus on our day-to-day process, that its at a good time for us."
