OXFORD, MS (Ole Miss Athletics) -- A former Fargo standout is shining bright in her sophomore season of her college volleyball career.
Emily Stroup leading Ole Miss this season in a National Invitational Volleyball Championship run.
The Fargo native and Fargo South High School alum is coming off of a record-setting sophomore campaign with the Rebels volleyball team.
Emily set the single-season kills record this year with 474. Over the past few weeks, Emily has helped the Rebels go on a title run in the National Invitational Volleyball Championship. Last night in the championship match, she had 17 kills in a 3-0 win over Texas Tech bringing her tournament total to 76 kills which led to her being named to the All-Tournament team as well as NIVC MVP.
