MOORHEAD, Minn. (Valley News Live) -- Moorhead varsity hockey opened the 2019 home schedule with a 6-0 win over Brainerd Tuesday.
Jumping out to a three goal lead in the first period, they would add another two in the second to help secure the eventual win.
Right winger Cullen Gess had two goals for the Spuds and added an assist in the third period as well. Bringing his season totals to three goals and four assists through just the third game of the season.
Spuds goaltender Hudson Hodges added 19 saves in the shutout to help round out an all around performance for the team.
