BURNSVILLE, Minn. — After a record-setting performance on Saturday, Minnesota State University Moorhead sophomore women's basketball player Kiley Borowicz has been named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference North Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday. It is the second weekly honor of the season for Borowicz.
The Roseau, Minn., native connected on an MSUM single-game record nine 3-pointers in the Dragons' 79-61 win over Augustana on Saturday, on her way to a career-high 37 points. She finished 9-of-16 from three and 14-of-26 from the field overall. For the week Borowicz averaged 23.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists.
She leads the Dragons, who have a 14-game winning streak, in scoring this season.
MSUM plays at Minnesota Duluth in a crucial NSIC game on Friday.
