ST. LOUIS (NDSU Athletics) - North Dakota State left tackle Dillon Radunz was named Missouri Valley Football Conference Offensive Lineman of the Week by the league office Monday, Nov. 18. It is his second award in three weeks.
Radunz, a junior from Becker, Minn., graded out at 100 percent with eight knockdowns and zero sacks allowed as North Dakota State clinched its ninth straight conference championship with a 49-14 victory over South Dakota. NDSU averaged 10.0 yards per play and finished with 33 first downs and 700 yards of total offense – both the most by a Bison team in Division I play since 2004.
NDSU rushed for a season-high 419 yards led by Ty Brooks’ 128 yards and two touchdowns, and the Bison did not allow a sack for the third straight week. North Dakota State is averaging 9.5 yards per play, 54 points per game and has not committed a turnover in the past three contests.
No. 1-ranked North Dakota State (11-0, 7-0 MVFC) takes a 32-game winning streak to Southern Illinois for the final game of the regular season at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23. The Salukis (7-4, 5-2 MVFC) have won five straight games and are part of a four-way tie for second place in the conference.
