North Dakota State quarterback Trey Lance was named to the HERO Sports FCS Freshman All-America Team on Tuesday, Dec. 17, and left guard Nash Jensen was selected to the HERO Sports FCS Sophomore All-America Team.

Lance, who won the Jerry Rice Award as the top freshman player in the FCS, was one of two quarterbacks on the Freshman All-America first team alongside Albany's Jeff Undercuffler, the runner-up in the Jerry Rice Award voting.

Jensen is in his first year as the starting left guard for the Bison, who have the No. 4-ranked rushing offense in the FCS averaging 285.9 yards per game.

NDSU had four honorable mentions to the Sophomore All-America Team: wide receiver Christian Watson, defensive end Spencer Waege, linebacker Jackson Hankey and safety Michael Tutsie.
