Local athletes sign Letters of Intent to join NDSU Football

FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) -- It's a big day for area high school athletes.

Several signed their letters of intent to play NCAA Division I Football.

For some, they are about to head across the country to their future school, for other's like Fargo's Jaden Klabo, its just a trip up the street.

Klabo is set to graduate from Fargo Davies High School in 2019. The 6-foot-4 tight end prospect gave his verbal commitment a week after NDSU offered him.

"It means a lot. The culture there -- I've grown up watching them and going to the game. It's super exciting," Klabo said Wednesday after signing his letter of intent.

Klabo is one of just three North Dakotan's the Bison received LOI's from Wednesday.

Dawson Weisenberger from Fargo South and Kaden Kuntz from Dickinson Trinity are the other two.

Weisenberger is a 6-foot-3 tight end while Kuntz is listed as a 5-foot-8 wide receiver.

Also from the area in Minnesota, Bryce Anderson from Hawley will join the Bison as a defensive tackle. The 6-foot-2, 246-pound high school senior just finished his prep football career at Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton.
