Johnson to make return to net for UND against Western Michigan

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (Valley News Live) -- North Dakota Hockey Head Coach Brad Berry announced Wednesday senior goaltender Cam Johnson will return to the starting lineup after missing the last eight games with an injury.

Johnson suffered the injury November 3rd during a morning skate ahead of the Wisconsin series.

Johnson has a 5-2-1 record in his eight starts this season with a .925 save percentage and a 1.63 goals against average.

Freshman Peter Thome, who filled in during Johnson's injury, went 3-2-3 with a .907 save percentage and a 2.56 goals against average.

The Fighting Hawks host Western Michigan Friday and Saturday.
