FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) -- The day has come and Dallas Goedert held up his end of the bargain.
Dressed in an NDSU sweatshirt, the former SDSU tight end posed for a picture with current teammate and former rival Carson Wentz.
The two placed a friendly wager last week ahead of the annual Dakota Marker game between North Dakota State and South Dakota State.
Wentz laughed when asked about the game last week, saying "Yea we'll have a friendly wager. I'm sure you guys will see about it when he's wearing something NDSU next week after we take the Dakota Marker from him."
Wentz tweeted the pay out Wednesday.
No. 1-ranked North Dakota State reclaimed the Dakota Marker with a 21-17 victory over third-ranked South Dakota State in the Missouri Valley Football Conference opener for both teams Saturday, Sept. 29.
The Eagles are 2-2 on the season and 1-1 since Wentz returned to his starting spot at quarterback. They play the Minnesota Vikings Sunday at 3:25 p.m. on FOX in Philadelphia.
