Force clinch spot in Clark Cup Playoffs

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (Valley News Live) -- Despite losing in overtime Sunday to Sioux City the Fargo Force will be able to defend their Clark Cup Championship from a season ago by clinching a spot in the playoffs.

Wtih the Omaha Lancers winning in overtime the Force were able to clinch a postseason spot.

Fargo (32-22-3-2) is making its third straight trip to the Clark Cup Playoffs under Head Coach Cary Eades.

The Force wrapped up a three game road trip Sunday going 2-0-1 and now sit a 69 points, tied with Des Moines for the fourth spot in the Western Conference (Des Moines holds the tie breaker with more regulation and overtime wins).

Fargo has just three games remaining in the regular season, April 5 & 6 against Team USA and April 12 at Cedar Rapids.
