FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) -- Five former University of North Dakota football players put their skills on display in front of 20-plus NFL Scouts at Pro Day hosted by North Dakota State.
Running backs John Santiago and Brady Oliveira along with defensive lineman Tank Harris, defensive back Deion Harris, and offensive lineman Austin Cieslak all took part in drills.
"I think we had a good performance out here today," Santiago said. "I think we showed our feet really well within the bags and doing the drills like that and I feel like we showed that we could catch the ball out of the backfield and that's important for us."
Santiago and Oliveira both ran a script of receiving patterns catching passes from former NDSU quarterback Easton Stick.
"I think I came out here and put my best foot forward," Oliveira said. "I showed the scouts that what I weighed in at that I can move really well with that weight on my body. I think I tested really well, I jumped really well, and I think I ran good."
Oliveira put up 29 reps at 230 pound in the bench press and recording a vertical jump of 33.5".
