GRAND FORKS, N.D.(UND Athletics) -- North Dakota outscored Minnesota Crookston, 27-11, in the first quarter en route to a 74-58 exhibition win at the Betty Engelstad Sioux Center Tuesday evening. UND had 10 assists on 10 made baskets in that frame and only turned it over once to build a double-digit lead that it never relinquished.
The Fighting Hawks had five players score in double figures led by Faith Dooley's 13 with 11 from fellow senior Melissa Dailey. Lexi Klabo, Jill Morton and Bailey Strand-- all seniors-- chipped in 10 points apiece for the home team.
Isieoma Odor paced the Golden Eagles with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
North Dakota will play the first of seven straight road games to open the regular season when it travels to Syracuse on Nov. 6.
