Dragons Football more mature this spring
Minnesota State Moorhead is in full swing of spring practice.
The Dragons are coming off their most successful season under head coach Steve Laqua, who is entering his seventh year with the program at 7-4 in 2016.
Nine starters return on offense and seven return on defense which has Laqua pleased with the continuity the Dragons should have as they continue spring workouts and into the fall.
“I think as you have your program grown and mature, you have more and more guys that are coming back, I think our retention has been phenomenal,” Laqua said. “So we've grown that second wave of players and if you want to win a conference title you have to a mature football program from the stars all the way down to the role players and I think we're really getting close to having those pieces in place."
The Dragons will wrap up spring practices with their Spring Game April 22nd.
