Davies names interim boys' hockey coach

FARGO, N.D. (Fargo Davies) -- Scott Petersen, Davies boys’ hockey coach, has resigned his position as head coach for personal reasons; he looks forward to focusing on his family and his teaching career. Coach Petersen was hired as the head coach starting the 2016-17 school year. Petersen will continue his mathematics teaching duties at Davies High School.

Dean Wilson has been named as the interim head coach of the Davies boys’ hockey team. Wilson is currently an assistant principal at Carl Ben Eielson Middle School in Fargo. He served as a boys’ hockey coach at South High School from 1990 to 2007. He led the Bruins to 12 state hockey tournament appearances with a total of three state championship wins – 1994, 1999, and 2006. During his coaching tenure, he was named the State Coach of the Year and received numerous East Region Coach of the Year awards.
