FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) -- Week in and week out, year after year, the Bison football team feels the support of their community.
And that isn't lost on the program.
Players spend a great deal of time volunteering and giving back to the community they call home. While some events are scheduled through the athletic department, often times players seek out their own opportunities.
The volunteer component has become as important to these athletes as the winning culture is that they have created on the field.
This fall, the freshman class learned a little bit about what it means to give back when they volunteered at Fargo Mania. An adapted fitness competition for individuals with a disability or special need to showcase their abilities.
