Bison football ready for Butler

FARGO, N.D. -- The college football season kicks off this weekend for area teams, including North Dakota State.

The Bison are taking their show on the road to Target Field for the highly anticipated week one.

The game with Butler will serve as the first ever Division I football game to played at Target Field.

After three weeks of fall cam and countless reps against their Bison teammates, NDSU head coach Matt Entz says his team is ready to play against someone else.

With a large portion of the play book in place and the starters officially named, he says he feels good about where the team is at in terms of game preparation.

Now it's time to see them in action.

"It's time that we get to compare or evaluate ourselves against someone in a different color jersey," Entz said.

KVLY KFYR Bison Football Network will carry the game with Brian Shawn joined by Lee Timmerman and sideline reporter Ryan Gellner. Pregame coverage hosted by Beth Hoole and Alex Egan begins at 1:30 p.m. Former Bison and NFL football player Kyle Emanuel joins the crew as well this year.

The game will be available to ESPN+ subscribers on the ESPN app.
