Over 900 without natural gas in Moorhead

Xcel Energy is shutting off natural gas service to more than 900 customers in Moorhead, so they can repair a broken gas line.
Crews are going door-to-door to turn off meters of the affected customers.
Xcel says 100 crew members are working to repair the damage as quickly as possible.

Some bad news about that natural gas leak in Moorhead.
Xcel Energy's Mark Nisbet tells Valley News Live, efforts to fix it are not going well.
He says Xcel may have to shut off gas service to parts of Moorhead to repair it.
When asked about how large a part of the city might be impacted, Nisbet says, "big enough".
Temperatures today, aren't expected to get much above zero.
No word yet, on how long the gas service will be out.
Moorhead firefighters say a gas line was clipped during snow clearing work near the Eventide campus late last night and crews have been trying to repair it since then.
Eighth street remains closed between 12th and 24th avenues south.
