Update: Woman trampled by horse at NDSU Equine Center has died

(Update 9:30 a.m. Wednesday) - Friends say the woman who was trampled by a horse in Fargo has died.

Kimberley Rae Elliott, 57, was identified by friends as the person involved in Tuesday's incident at the North Dakota State University Equine Center.

Her friends said Elliot was from Alberta, Canada.


(Original) - A woman was seriously hurt after being trampled and kicked by a horse at the North Dakota State University Equine Center, according to emergency responders.

The Fargo Fire Department, NDSU Police, and FM Ambulance responded to the incident at around 11:45 a.m. Tuesday.

According to a statement from NDSU, an adult female was transported to a local hospital due to injuries received while moving horses.

The university stated that its records showed the woman isn’t a student or an employee.

Her condition is unknown at this time.
