" I will love having one bin my recycle bin is always full on the off week so here i am delivering it to each of the individual bins," said Cindy Egge.

Recycling will soon be easier for Fargo and Moorhead residents. Starting July 3rd, every home will receive a recycling bin. This new "no sort system" is a relief to many who go to extreme lengths to recycle.

"I hauled my recycling 75 miles to Bismark to recycle its just something I've had to do," said Mary Tron.

But officials stress that the new system must be used properly or it could backfire.

"The whole purpose of recycling is to keep it out of the landfill, and if there is contamination we are going to defeat the purpose of recycling," said Steve Moore, Moorhead Public Works director.

Which is why Moore warns that misuse of the bins could cost you.

"If the fees for disposal go up as a result of that it could result in a fee increase," said Moore.

Moore says the easiest way to avoid a fee is to use the recycling bin only for acceptable materials.

"If it's garbage just throw it in your garbage tote and help us out because the cleaner it is the more valuable it is in the after market and helps keep our cost down," said Moore.
