MOORHEAD, Minn. (Valley News Live) The large number of wild turkeys inside Moorhead city limits often generates a lot of talk about what the city should or shouldn’t do about the turkey population.
So, next week city officials will hold an open community discussion to solicit input toward the development of a comprehensive wild turkey management plan.
The public forum will take place next Wednesday, January 8, at 7 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers.
City leaders say they want to collect information and hear from community stakeholders, as to what they would like to see considered in a comprehensive wild turkey management plan.
Representatives from the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources will be present to answer people's questions.
