WEST FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) - West Fargo Public Schools is looking for a new Director for the Hulbert Aquatic Center. The district says the hiring process for the position will begin immediately.
According to the district, Chad Day, the current director, has resigned to take a position closer to his family in South Carolina. His last day with West Fargo Public Schools is August 14.
Day was the center’s first director, and the district says under his leadership, the Hulbert Aquatic Center has become known as a premiere site.
Under Day’s direction, the brand new facility had mishaps as well. A broken damper during a state championship swimming event negatively impacted the air quality, affecting both swimmers and spectators.

Mr. Day joined West Fargo Public Schools in October 2016 to serve as the first Director of the Hulbert Aquatic Center. Under his leadership, the center has already gained attention as a premiere site in the Midwest, hosting events for groups like the West Fargo Flyers, area colleges, the Metro Area Tournament Committee, UP Aquatics, the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference, CrossFit Fargo, the ND LSC, Red River Diving, Marlins Swimming of the Northern Lights, and many others.
