Water rescue in rural Grandin for two people stranded in a vehicle


GRANDIN, ND (Valley News Live) - Two people were rescued from a stranded vehicle Saturday morning.

The Traill County and Cass County Sheriff’s Offices responded to a rural Grandin, ND location around 5:00 am in response to a water rescue in the Elm River.

On scene, deputies discovered two males stranded in their vehicle with water completely surrounding them.

The Cass County Sheriff’s Office water rescue team was requested to assist in the safe rescue of the stranded motorist.

Medical personnel assessed the individuals following the rescue; no injuries were reported.

The Traill County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the incident.
