FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) -- Members of the West Fargo community are spreading awareness about social media.
Both the West Fargo Public Schools and the West Fargo Police Department partnered up for a social networking event. Tonight was the third of a four-part series that discusses the impact of social media networks.
Superintendent Beth Slette says she hopes it will open conversation between students and their families on the possible risks with social networking.
"We just knew that we couldn't keep that information to ourselves that we had to find a way to really get that information to our parents so that they know what's out there and we can learn together and help the children stay safe," said Slette.
West Fargo Public Schools said there's one more student success forum on mental health in April.
