Valley City Schools give all students free pride shirts to combat bullying

VALLEY CITY, N.D. (Valley News Live) - Social media has been buzzing over the little boy who was teased for making his own University of Tennessee t-shirt. Now, a school district in our area wants to make sure that doesn't happen here. In Valley City, all students are given a Hi-Liner Pride t-shirt for free. The school district says giving out the shirts removes barriers and reduces clothing stigmas connected to a student's socio-economic status. This year's design will be handed out during Homecoming Week. Local sponsors have helped make this the third year for the t-shirt giveaway.
