NBC - A new look is coming to United Airlines.
It's out with the gold and in with the blue for the fleet.
United's next livery will prominently feature the color blue.
In fact three shades of blue will be used throughout the new design.
Although the airline is keeping it's iconic globe logo, it will now be painted sky blue instead of gold.
United's name will also appear larger on its aircraft.
On average, United's fleet receives new paint jobs every seven years.
The first aircraft to be painted with the new design will be a Boeing 737-800.
