Two men arrested, one man in the hospital after stabbing in Glyndon

GLYNDON, MN (Valley News Live)- One man is in the hospital and two others are in jail following a stabbing in Glyndon.

Officials say an altercation around 1 a.m. Wednesday at the Prairie View Mobile Home Park led to 39-year-old Rene Alvarado of Dilworth stabbing a man and slashing him multiple other times with a fillet knife.

Alvarado was arrested on charges of first-degree assault.

Officials also say the son-in-law of the victim, 29-year old John Balboa, was arrested for punching and kicking Alvarado in the face as he was being detained.

Both men are being held at the Clay County Jail.

The victim has undergone surgery and is expected to recover.
