Two arrested for squatting in Williston home

WILLISTON, N.D. (KFYR) People heading out of town for a few days will often ask a neighbor to keep an eye on their house while they're away. A Williston couple got a call this weekend that proved their designated house-watcher was a good idea.

Williston police say on Dec. 4, a neighbor who was checking in on a house in the 900 block of 1st Avenue East while the owners were away, saw lights on in the house.

Police say they found 27-year-old Danielle Ashley Lowe of Jamestown and 31-year-old Bryan Michael Semingson of Williston in the basement. Law enforcement says Semginson told them he got into the house through an unlocked window.

Officers searched the basement and found drug paraphernalia, used syringes and meth residue. They say Lowe and Semingson had also parked a vehicle in the garage, where police found a plastic bottle of suspected real or fake urine, a smoking device and pills.

Lowe has been charged with criminal trespass and drug possession. Semingson faces several charges, including criminal trespass, drug possession, and fraudulent practice in urine testing.
