GRAND FORKS, ND (Valley News Live) Icy roads are being blamed for a pedestrian accident in Grand Forks.
Police say on Wednesday a 16 year-old Grand Forks teen was trying to cross the street in the 2200 block of 20th Avenue South when the teen slipped on ice and fell.
That’s when a vehicle driven by a 17 year old driver approaching the intersection tried to stop, but couldn’t due to the icy road condition.
The 16 year old teen was hit and taken to the hospital for injuries. The driver of the vehicle was not hurt.
Police said so far no tickets have been issued as they are still investigating the accident.
