Snowmobiler killed after crash in Wadena Co.

Near Menahga, Minn. (Valley News Live) A man from Menahga is dead after his snowmobile was hit by a car.

It happened the morning of Wednesday, January 9 around 7:00 on Hwy. 71.

Minnesota State Patrol says 46-year-old Jesse Jones of Menahga was riding his snowmobile in the ditch, tried going up on the shoulder, and then ended up on the road.

He was then hit by a car going north. The car was driven by 30-year-old Andrew Vaverek of Browerville, MN.

Jones was wearing a helmet. Alcohol was not involved in the crash.
