Several students and driver taken to hospital after school bus crash in MN

Wheaton, Minn. (Valley News Live) UPDATE: Just after 8:00 Thursday morning, the Traverse County Sheriff's Office got a report of a school bus rollover in rural Traverse County.

Deputies say a school bus, carrying seven children ages 5-15, was driving south on 740th Ave. As the school bus approached 680th St, a 24-year-old man driving a pickup west on 680th Street hit the bus. The Sheriff's office says the bus ended up rolling into the west ditch.

Everyone on the bus was treated and released from the Wheaton Sanford Medical Center.

The driver of the pickup was airlifted to Fargo with non-life threatening injuries.

ORIGINAL: It was a scary bus ride to school for some students Thursday morning when their bus was involved in a crash.

The Principal for the Wheaton Middle and High School confirms to Valley News Live that a school bus was involved in a crash around 7:30 near Norcross.

Seven students were on board, and all of them plus the driver were taken to the hospital for evaluation. Since then, everyone has been released.

The school wasn't able to give exact details on how the crash happened. We've called the Traverse County Sheriff's Department and they're not releasing any information.
