FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) - Workers at Marvin Windows have another reason to feel safe at work.
Marvin is one of more than 2,700 businesses across the country participating in Safe and Sound Week, where employers proactively identify and manage workplace hazards before they cause injury and illness. Managers with Marvin say the program is important because it gives employees a sense of ownership and incentive to help keep the workplace safe.
"All our people are empowered to do the right thing and be stronger together while they're doing the right thing, and you can see that they really truly appreciate that safety is a very important part of who we are and what we do," says Kyle Kemmet, Marvin's Environmental Health and Safety Manager.
John Deere Electronic Solutions and Tecton Products are also participating in Safe and Sound Week.
