Moorhead police identify bank robbery suspect

MOORHEAD, Minn. (Valley News Live)- UPDATE: 8:50 p.m.

Police describe the suspect as a white male between 40 and 50 years of age, 5’10, with a normal build. He was last seen wearing dark blue jeans, a darker color shirt under a denim long sleeve button up and wearing a dark baseball style hat with a white logo.

Officials say to contact police if anyone has information related to the robbery they can contact the Red River Regional Dispatch Center at (701) 451-7660 and ask to speak to a Moorhead Police Supervisor.


An official with the Moorhead Police Department tells us they responded to a report of a robbery at the Gate City Bank inside Hornbacher's around 5:45 Wednesday evening. They say a white man walked into the bank with a note saying he wanted money and had a gun. Police go on to say the man reached for his belt and the teller handed him an undisclosed amount of money.

Police are unsure at this time if the suspect actually had a gun. No one was injured in the ordeal. Right now, police are watching surveillance video to piece together what happened and find the culprit.
