Update: Police arrest suspect who allegedly robbed Fargo eatery

FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) (Update: 12:45 p.m.) - A man is in jail for reportedly robbing a south Fargo restaurant Wednesday night.

Justin Borseth, 32, of Fargo was arrested for armed robbery and unrelated warrants less than an hour after he committed the crime, according to the Fargo Police Department.

Police said officers were dispatched to an armed robbery at Erbert & Gerbert's Sandwich Shop in south Fargo that happened 10 minutes before they arrived.

The store’s staff provided officers with a description and police a short time later approached a taxi cab that had recently picked up a passenger.

According to police, Borseth, who was the passenger in that cab, fit the general description of the armed robbery suspect.

Borseth already had active warrants for his arrest and after following up with the department’s investigations division, Fargo police officers arrested Borseth for armed robbery.

(Original) - Police are responding to a report of an armed robbery at a south Fargo restaurant.

The call came in around 10 Wednesday night about a hold-up at Erbert & Gerbert at 25th Street and 30th Avenue South.

Scanner traffic indicated there was a handgun involved, but police would not release any other information.
