Road crews prepped for first snow of the season

With the first impending snowfall of the season, local public works departments and county highway crews say they are ready.

The snowfall totals will depend on where you live, but a Blizzard Warning is in effect for southeast North Dakota into west central Minnesota.

The Valley News Live StormTeam says the Fargo-Moorhead metro could see anywhere from 1-3 inches. Some areas to the south and east of the metro could get 6-8 inches of snow, and there’s the potential for 8-12 inches for points east and north of the Wadena area.

Plow trucks in lakes country are prepared and ready to go. The Otter Tail County maintenance supervisor says they have been working for the past two days on getting everything prepared, and will most likely start plowing around 4:00 a.m. covering more than 300 miles.
