West Fargo man accidentally fires gun into apartment below

(WEST FARGO) Valley News Live UPDATE:

A West Fargo man could face charges after accidentally firing his gun into the apartment below him.

Police were called out to Lake Crest Apartments shortly after 8 Wednesday night after someone reported a shot fired. That's at 3010 7th Street West in West Fargo.

Police tell us a 19-year-old man was cleaning his gun and didn't realize he still had a round in the chamber.

The man pulled the trigger, sending the bullet through his 2nd floor apartment and into a wall in the apartment below. The two people below tell police, they saw the bullet fly by.

No one was hit and no one has been arrested yet.

Authorities say there were no injuries. This incident remains under investigation and charges are pending.
