People in the city of Menahga, Minnesota, in the northwest corner of Wadena County are waiting for power to come back on after storms ripped through that area late Wednesday and early Thursday.

The city is reporting a number of power poles down and crews have been working through the night to make repairs.

High winds blew the roof off of one building.

Many roads are blocked and closed, and people are being asked to stay indoors until debris is cleared.

Trouble from the storm system is widespread across North Dakota and Minnesota. People are checking for damage after tornadoes touched down near Bisbee and New Rockford, ND.

Power lines are down in those areas.

Bisbee had large hail, and street flooding was reported in a number of areas near Bisbee, Grand Forks and Rocklake, ND.
