Police in Chaska say the tale of a stolen Goldendoodle has a happy ending.

According to the Chaska Police Department's Facebook page, an 11-week-old puppy was stolen from a car parked at the Chaska Goodwill around 4 p.m. Friday.

Chaska police were searching for a suspect and car caught on surveillance video.

On Sunday, Chaska police reported on Twitter that Goldy the Goldendoodle had been found and reunited with his family. A suspect has been identified, police said, and the investigation is active.

The department's tweet: "Goldy has been located and reunited with his family! Our officers followed several leads and worked hard to make sure this story had a happy ending. A suspect has been identified and this is an active investigation."
