A man and woman walked away from a plane crash Sunday evening at the Bismarck Airport.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol says a small engine plane was forced to make an emergency landing around 6:20.

The plane was headed to Detroit Lakes, MN when the pilot noticed an electrical problem. The pilot of the plane attempted to lower the landing gear and land in Valley City.

The pilot then decided to fly back Bismarck and attempt to land. The landing gear never was deployed and the plane landed on its belly.

The crash is being investigated by the Federal Aviation Administration.
