One vehicle considered total loss after car fire

Just before 8pm Sunday evening, the Grand Forks Fire department responded to a report of a vehicle on fire near a garage.

Fire crews found a 2002 Ford Expedition, partially on fire.

Crews were able to extinguish the vehicle with about 100 gallons of water.

The Grand Forks Fire Department responded with 3 fire engines and 1 command vehicle.

Once crews were able to determine that no structures were in danger, 2 fire engines were released.

The vehicle involved is considered a total loss.The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Grand Forks Police Department and Altru Ambulance were also on scene.
